Macau Chief Executive to deliver policy address on April 20

Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng is scheduled to present his maiden policy address next Monday, according to the Government information Bureau (GCS).

Ho will address the local legislature on April 20 at 3 p.m and will take questions from journalists at the Government Headquarters two hours later.

On the following day, the head of government will return to the Legislative Assembly for a three-hour question-and-answer session, GCS added.

Ho Iat Seng took office last December 20 as Chief Executive of the Macau Special Administrative Region.  One month into his term, his focus was mostly channeled to the ongoing Covid-19 public health crisis.

Public broadcaster TDM Radio Macau said yesterday that Ho’s policy address would heavily focus on the measures to deal with the impact of the new coronavirus pandemic, including beneficial policies to be adopted by the Central Government such as enabling mainland visitors to come to Macau once the crisis is over.
